On 5th July I will be abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower for Endometriosis South Coast, a charity that supports individuals who are going through their diagnosis stages, and/or have been diagnosed with the endometriosis and/or adenomyosis. Your donations will go directly to the charity helping those affected by these life-altering conditions.

Endo can be debilitating and have a massive impact on the individuals life. It is a disease in which cells similar to the lining of the womb grows outside the uterus. These cells can grow and change, causing inflammation, pain and scar tissue in the body. It can be found in other parts of the body too such as the bowel, bladder, pelvis and even, in some cases, to the lungs. Common symptoms of endo are infertility, extreme bodily pain, excessive bleeding, fatigue, pain during and after sex, and very heavy periods. The average to be able to get a diagnosis and treatment is 7/8 years, which is appalling!

Although we do not know the cause of Endometriosis, we do know there is no definite cure.

So let’s raise awareness, offer hope, and support those fighting a silent battle every day. If you’re able to donate, even if it’s just a little, the charity and myself would appreciate it massively.
