A somber moment has enveloped our hearts as we share the devastating news of the sudden passing of our dear friend and brother, Khalil Ur Rahman, on August 8. Khalil's untimely departure due to a sudden cardiac attack has cast a shadow of sorrow over all of us.

Hailing originally from Kurram tribal region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, Khalil had embraced a new life in Canada since 2016. He was not just a remarkable friend but a devoted husband and a loving father to four school-going children. This profound loss has left his family shattered and in deep distress.

Khalil's dreams were intertwined with providing a better life for his family in Canada. After seven years of unrelenting dedication, he had achieved permanent resident status. A long-awaited journey to reunite with his family was planned for October; tickets had been purchased, and excitement filled the air. However, fate had its own plans, snatching Khalil away from us all.

Tragically, the family not only lost a beloved husband and father but also their only source of financial support.

In this time of sorrow, we come together with a plea for your kindness and generosity. We have launched a GoFundMe campaign to alleviate the financial burden that the family faces. The funds raised will be directed towards covering Khalil's funeral expenses, facilitating the repatriation of his remains to his beloved Pakistan and reducing some of the financial problems of the family.
