In loving memory of Jorge Uribe aka Jorge Uribe Villalobos (1972–2025)

With deep sorrow, we say goodbye to our beloved friend, colleague, and mentor, Jorge Uribe. Jorge passed away unexpectedly victim of a reckless driver while riding his motorcycle. He leaves a profound void in our hearts and in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jorge was much more than an exceptional professional. He was a genuine leader, a loving partner, a devoted father, a veteran, and a remarkable human being. His warmth, integrity, and generosity left a lasting mark. He had a rare gift for making others feel heard, valued, and supported—both at work and in life.

He is survived by his life partner, Dulce Martínez (our colleague at ECA), his children, Jacobo and Sofía, and their beloved dog, Penny Lane.

This fundraiser has been created by friends and colleagues who wish to offer tangible support to Jorge’s family during this incredibly difficult time. All donations will go directly to Dulce and her daughter to help cover memorial expenses, household needs, and to provide some comfort and relief as they grieve this heartbreaking loss.

Any contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign and keeping Jorge’s family in your thoughts is just as meaningful.

Con profunda tristeza despedimos a nuestro querido amigo, colega y mentor Jorge Uribe. Jorge falleció de forma inesperada, víctima de un conductor imprudente mientras conducía su motocicleta. Deja un gran vacío en nuestra comunidad y en la vida de todos quienes tuvimos el privilegio de conocerlo.

Jorge fue mucho más que un profesional ejemplar. Fue un líder genuino, una pareja amorosa, un padre comprometido, un veterano y un ser humano entrañable. Su calidez, integridad y generosidad dejaron una huella profunda. Tenía una capacidad única para hacer sentir a los demás escuchados, valorados y acompañados, tanto en el trabajo como en la vida personal.

Le sobreviven su compañera de vida, Dulce Martínez (nuestra colega en ECA), sus hijos Jacobo y Sofía, y su querida perrita Penny Lane.

Este fondo ha sido creado por amigos y colegas que deseamos brindar un apoyo tangible a la familia de Jorge en este momento tan difícil. Todos los fondos recaudados serán destinados directamente a Dulce y su hija, para ayudar con los gastos relacionados con su partida, las necesidades del hogar y ofrecer un respiro en medio del duelo.
