Helping Hugo

Hello fellow cat lovers! I'm Lara and if you know me, you know that I love cats more than anything on this planet. More than that, I love helping cats, as well as their people, whenever I can. This is Hugo. He is a 9 month old sweet bundle of love and light that has unfortunately been stricken with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) which in 99% of untreated cases is ultimately fatal. However, studies have shown that a drug called GS-441524 (which is a pro-drug of remdesivir) can send FIP into remission and even cure it. As this treatment is only available in the UK, Australia, and the Netherlands, it is exorbitantly expensive here in the US. I am starting this fundraiser for Hugo's wonderful mom, Emily, who is a rockstar coworker at my workplace because the costs of this lifesaving treatment is so heavy. The funds raised here will cover the costs of the vials of medicine ($80/vial) as well as diagnostic imaging and other veterinary expenses that will be necessary during his 84-day treatment regimen.
