Hi, My name is Jim. I have a long-distance relationship with the sweetest, loveliest girl I know. We have been together for four years now. Sunny lives in Taiwan, and I live in California. We only see each other 2 or 3 times yearly, but video chat daily is our communication. She works at a salon in Taiwan. She is considered a Hair Designer. Sunny volunteers at some local schools giving haircuts to children whose parents can't afford them. Her name, Sunny, fits her perfectly. She is always a ray of sunshine no matter where she is. We are not sure what caused this event I am about to describe but we think it may be hereditary. Sunny suffered a massive stroke on July 25 2022. She texted me that her retinas were swollen. Then she told me she was at the hospital getting medication. Next, she went dark on me for 3 days. Finally, her daughter texted me and asked to video chat with me. She informed me of the stroke. And that the right half of sunny brain is dead. Sunny spent the next 10 days in ICU. She was moved to a regular room on Friday, 8/4/22. This was the first time I got to see sunny. While in ICU, the doctors performed a procedure to open up her skull to relieve pressure on her brain. So Friday, when I first saw her, sunny could not even move her eyes to track the phone that I was talking to her on. Sunday, 8/7/22, I video chatted with her again. Her eyes were still unable to respond, but she blurted out hi back at me when I said hi. I think she has a chance at partial recovery, but it will be a long road. So I have never asked for anything before, but I would really appreciate if anyone could help her out with the medical bills that will be arriving. Sunny will need to be placed in a care facility until and if she regains her mobility. I am trying to get a Taiwan Visa so I can go help out, but they have shut down the island due to covid. So please help us raise some money for her medical bills and care. You don't know how much it will be appreciated. Thank you, kind people.
