Please Help My Brother

My brother, Jeff Sparks (Marine Vereran; father of 5 adult children and 10 grandchildren; 24-hr locksmith, and man with a great and tender heart) was the victim of an auto accident last night. He wasn't involved in the actual initial accident, but he was badly injured in a secondary accident that took place while he was helping the actual victims of the first crash. The secondary accident wrecked his car and threw him into a razor-sharp fence in the center divider. He is a traveling locksmith and is available 24/7 to help people. Now he will not be able to work for awhile and he needs some repairs to his vehicle. I would like to ask his friends and our relatives and any others who would like to help him and his family during this time of healing to donate some funds so the family's needs can be met and they can keep going. Here is his story, written by him last night:

"Soooo... story time tonight...
It was a dark and stormy night...
Opps... wrong begining...
There I was, minding my own business, traveling down the road... 5 lane freeway and I was in the 3rd lane... everyone moving along about 75 and the car pool lane relatively empty because the flow was moving so well...
A jerk in a suped-up Kia sedan came screaming down the car pool lane doing well into the 90's... he passed and then about 30 yards ahead shot across a crowded but well flowing road, covering all the lanes, and cutting across the Gore point to get on the exit... brakes were applied and greatfully no body bumped... I figured great... this guy is gone.
Three miles and two exits later break lights went on about 50 yards ahead and cars are slowing down in the car pool lane and as I pulled up there was that same Kia with a dented fender and a truck full of women up against the center divider. I pulled over in the center shoulder for two reasons, one, was to make sure that everyone was OK, the other to be a witness to this jokers erratic driving. I spoke to the women, the kid was already out of his car and unhurt, and no one in the truck was injured. They were on the phone to the police. The driver indicated that it might have been another car, one that had pulled over about 60 yds down the road, that had caused the Kia to swerve, so I walked down to that car to make sure about them about and get their story.
They were alright, but shaken up, a husband and wife, and their story was that they were trying to get out of the way of the Kia.
I had my arms on the door of this small Suv when KABOOM!!! another car crashed into the the Kia at speed, sending pieces of both cars flying and the car in motion careening down the freeway right at us... the wife yell, "Get out of here!" And the husband hit the gas. We were far enough down the road that the car never came close to reaching us... yes us, as I was hanging on to the car running, actually leaping, along beside it, trying not to get run over. I said "stop" he said "no" and accelerated. I pushed off the car and tried to stay on my feet. I ended up crashing into the divider fence in the center which would have been bad enough had it just been chain link, but noooooo... it was "expanded metal" which is just short of razor blades stacked on edge. I left a little skin on the fence... but it certainly could have been worse.
I walked back to my van which had been battered and beaten by the now destroyed Kia and waited for the police and Para medics. One person in the extra car was hurt and he went to the hospital and and I went in the second ambulance
I ended up with a small cut on my cheek glued up and five stitches in my arm with a large patch of skin left hanging on that fence. I am home now, with the family, and the last picture is the bandaid that Callie, my three year old granddaughter, put on me before announcing to everyone "Grandpa is all better now.""

Insurance will kick in at some point but we all know that takes time and is fuu of red tape.

Please let's help this fine man and his family through this.
