Support Michelle's Battle with Cancer
Donation protected
My mother, Michelle Richardson, was blindsided with a diagnosis in early December. What we all thought would be cured with surgery and some treatment turned out to be an extremely fast-moving form of Stage Four Uterine Cancer. To say we were all shocked and had the wind knocked out of us is an understatement.
Mom doesn’t have medical insurance, and I currently take her over two hours away for her chemotherapy, radiation, and doctor's appointments. She is brave, strong in her faith, and currently doing her best to enjoy what time she does have left. Unfortunately, without medical insurance, the pain management is becoming increasingly difficult. The medications are expensive, and getting into a pain management program is an out-of-pocket expense that is beyond our means.
Mom has always tried to give and care for others. She’s always been there for me through my hard times, and I grew up watching her by my dad’s side during his own battle with cancer. We are all hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. It is so hard to watch her be in pain and know that we are limited in how to help. That’s why I am reaching out.
This was supposed to be an amazing time in Mom’s life, living at the beach and enjoying it. However, it’s becoming increasingly difficult with the worry of medications, travel, and other health-related expenses. I know Mom also worries tremendously about future funeral expenses and the desire to be laid to rest next to my dad, the love of her life, for all of eternity.
Anything you donate will go directly to help with Mom’s current care, future care, and if/when this battle overcomes her, then additionally the remaining funds would go to her being laid to rest next to my dad in Tennessee.
Thank you all for any and all help.
