Hello, I’m sharing this fundraiser to help support my family through a difficult time that none of us expected. The news that my dad wouldn’t be with us anymore felt like a quarter of my heart left with him. It’s been three days now, and I’ve only just found the courage to write this down. Even now, it’s still hard to put into words, as I wipe the tears off the screen.

My dad was a loving and caring man, incredibly smart, and funny. A little ironic, though, because he was always faster at math than I was, even though I was the one who ended up getting a scholarship. He had a way of making everyone feel loved and valued, and so many people truly admired him. Honestly, I could go on and on about how great my dad was and all the amazing things he did not just for me, but for anyone he had the chance to help.You might be wondering just how close I was to my dad. The truth is, we were like gum on a shoe on a hot day always stuck together. Ever since I can remember, I’d go with him to work every summer and every weekend. I always thought I was learning a lot from him, but now, looking back, I realize that was only the beginning. I was just getting to the first page of his story, and there was so much more I could’ve learned from him.
