Eleanor (Kevin Kent), is a medium, “A petit medium” a she would say, and her power to connect with the “energies” or spirits is her gift. She uses her gift to connect the living with their recently departed loved ones, at Bolten’s Memorials, where Eleanor works as a professional mourner.
“Dear Friends and Loved ones, we are gathered here to celebrate the life of _________________________ (Insert name of loved one here) _________________________ (Insert name again) will always be with us in our memories.”
The Funeral Director (Joe Kery) is stunned at Eleanor’s uncanny ability to conjure memories from family pictures. Every picture’s story makes the sometime wickedly funny, sometime sweet lives of the “dearly departed” crystal clear
(The audience, is cast as the bereaved each night and is encouraged to bring in their favorite family photos, from tin type to polaroid, where they are randomly chosen, and given new life.)
(Family Photos sent in on Facebook for use in the Eulogy.)
We have asked an incredible team of artists to bring Eulogy to life. I am excited and honored to work with:
Jennifer Jasper, Director
Dave Schmader, Content Consultant
Paul Shipp, Stage Manager
Sarah Lozano, Stop Motion Time Lapse Film
Grant Rehnberg, Production Design
AJ Epstein, Lighting Designer
Mark Zappone, Costume Design
Shelby Adele Rogers, Wig Design
Kevin Joyce, Music Consultation
Tom Kellock, Keyboard
Michelle Bates, Photography
Katherine Whitehall, Print Design
The Designers for the show have been charged with creating a movable production. Which means it can be crated up and recreated at venues all over he world. Little show – big dreams!
(Sample from Stop Motion/Time Lapse Film created for Eulogy by Sarah Lozano)
Your monies, go towards paying this handsome bunch and covering other production expenses; Costumes, design and construction – After all, I am a man in a dress and I have to look good.
(Costume by Mark Zappone - silly little sketch by me.)
There is so much that goes into even a modest production like this. Every little bit helps, or if you want have a larger share in the company, or the production of Eulogy. We have a three-year plan, which could easily turn into a six-year plan, and so on and so on. A new production every year, and a series of workshops on developing works like this through instant theatre techniques using improvisation to create the performance each night. If this sounds exciting, and you would like to become a producing partner of K. Kent Co. Performance contact me here through Go Fund Me or through Messenger on Facebook.
I have created and performed with Teatro ZinZanni, now for over 17 years – sometimes creating two new shows in a year, for example last year” Hacienda Holiday” going south of the border, and “Return of Chaos”, becoming the ultimate evil in that superhero show.

This year, I am lucky enough to have time to put
K. Kent Co. Performance together and produce our first show.
Thank you, all!, in advance, for your support at any level. If you join us these are the Funereal goodies you will receive:
(More incredible photos sent to us on Facebook for use in Eulogy.)
We already have sponsors who are providing air travel, and a backer, who wants to see this brand of improvisational theater thrive, join them, donate now!

From Joe and I, and Eleanor with her host of “Energies’: “Thanks of thinking of us!”
Be the first to give!
