My name is Haddel Alnaffar, from Gaza.

Before the war, my life was filled with hope—I had completed my law degree and was preparing to continue my journey as a lawyer. I dreamed of building a future of dignity and service to my community.

But everything changed.

During the attacks, I lost my beloved father. Our home was destroyed, and with it, our sense of safety and stability. Since then, my family and I have been forced into constant displacement, moving from place to place, carrying only what little we can. The costs of displacement alone now exceed $4,000, and every day is a struggle just to find shelter, food, and basic necessities.

Today, I carry the burden of trying to rebuild a future for my family:

Rebuilding our home, so we can have a safe place to live again.

Covering the unbearable costs of displacement, which continue to drain us every single day.

Providing medical treatment for my brother, who urgently needs care.

Supporting my younger sister’s education, so she can pursue her dream of becoming a doctor—our one remaining hope for a brighter future.
