Hello, my name is Sinara Charlery and my daughter's name is Je’Nara Charlery. I am currently a single and unemployed mother who is soliciting your financial assistance to help my four month old daughter who was diagnosed with Erb’s Palsy at 2 months old.

During delivery, my daughter sustained a broken clavicle in her left shoulder, this happened because I was unable to push her out on my own. As such I had a episiotomy done after being in active labor for over 30 minutes. Subsequently, my daughter was yanked out by her head without the aid of forceps. The doctors said that the extraction was difficult and forceful because of her birth weight of 9lbs.

At 2months old, she was diagnosed with Erb’s Palsy by the hospital's orthopedic doctor as her left arm remained limp.Since then we have been doing physiotherapy both at home and with a physiotherapist, but her improvements are very little. As a result, I took her to another physiotherapist where we received the referral to get a nerve grafting surgery done in the US. The current physiotherapist shares the same concern and recommended that I try to get the surgery done as soon as possible.

While, I am worried about the side effects of surgery, I have faith that this surgery will help my daughter greatly. I am deeply saddened that I am not able to finance my daughter’s medical expenses, therefore,I am sharing my story with the public with the hope that we will be assisted.

Please help me, help my daughter live a normal life.
