Help Eve FIGHT cancer!

Hi, my name is Maria and I am fundraising for my niece Eve, please take a moment to read her story.
Eve is a wonderful, loving and caring mother and wife. Prior to her cancer diagnosis she enjoyed staying active, going for long walks and always making sure to spend quality time with her three children, now 21, 18 and 12 years of age. She took pride in maintaining a tidy home and loved cooking and baking. Her husband, a truck driver who works long hours, is the main provider for the family. Eve also contributed by making and selling delicious treats. Her homemade jello, bread, sweet treats and gummies were sold through her social media account. She planned to take on hiking as a new hobby once time permitted. She had a dream of someday owning her own mobile bakery, a goal she and her husband were working on achieving one day.
But in 2021 Eve began to fall ill more and more frequently. Knowing this wasn’t normal, she decided to see her doctor in hopes the issue would be resolved. Unfortunately, for the next two years, that was not the case. Her ailments continued and worsened over time. She was told these were symptoms of menopause. She was 39 years old.
In October of 2023, only one month after seeking help for her abdominal pain, Eve reluctantly decided to go to the emergency room yet again. This time she refused to accept menopause as a diagnosis, and further testing was done. The test results confirmed she had been misdiagnosed. Eve had cancer. Her diagnosis was endometrial cancer aggressive and at stage IVB, which had spread to her liver, abdomen, and pelvic bones. Alongside her husband, she sat there in shock trying to process the overwhelming news, treatments, surgeries, side effects and change in her quality of life. Countless images crossed her mind, she thought, oh God please help me, her children, her parents, her siblings-would she even survive this? Would their health insurance cover the costs? She thought particularly of her son, who had been diagnosed with cancer as a child. He fought hard and stayed strong through chemotherapy and surgery. Now, he would see his mother go through the same battle. As more tests were done, Eve was diagnosed with a second type of cancer, breast cancer. Despite everything, Eve has stayed strong and continues to fight. In November of 2024 Eve was diagnosed with stage I lung cancer, which has quickly progressed to stage III.
Fast forward to 2025, after countless appointments, biopsies and continuous struggles with her medical insurance to cover her treatments(which has delayed her care), Eve has completed one round of chemotherapy, consisting of 8 sessions. She has had a hysterectomy, and just one week ago she underwent a lobectomy. In 3 months, she will have surgery for a double mastectomy. She is currently undergoing targeted therapy for her breast cancer. Her appointments also require traveling to Las Angeles 1-3 times per month, costing over $100 in gas each time. Her health insurance does not cover her doctors’ appointments because the specialists she needs are out of network. The costs are steep:$600 per visit to the oncologist, and $750 for the surgeon. Her treatments, medications, and procedures are only 80% covered by insurance. The hospital is in-network, anesthesia is not covered. She has tried to reach out to different agencies who offer help with medical costs to cancer patients but has been denied because she has insurance.
Her whole life has changed since 2021. She can no longer take long walks with her family. The chemotherapy has caused nerve damage, and she no longer has the use of her hands like before, her ability to bake and cook has become painful, taking away her extra income, she is always exhausted and even dusting is a difficult task to complete.
She was also informed she has Li-Fraumeni Syndrome, which is a rare genetic disorder that increases the risk of developing cancer. She chose to have her children tested, and unfortunately, they all carry it as well.
For this reason, I am asking that if you are able, please consider contributing anything at all to help with her medical bills. Every little bit will be greatly appreciated. By helping my beautiful niece Eve with her medical expenses in her fight to beat cancer, you are not just donating money, you are making a tremendous difference in the lives of her family. You are helping to reduce the stress Eve and her family face daily, prolonging her quality of life, and extending the time with her three amazing children, her husband, her parents, her siblings, and all of us who love her dearly.
Thank you for your time.
