Hey y'all,

My name is Adora. I'm a US-American trans woman. Thankfully, I escaped the country to safety after I resigned from my job at the VA that was at risk of being cut by the Trump administration early last year. Long story short, I got the hell out of dodge when I felt I needed to. I know others are not as lucky as I have been, and this is a request for one such woman, my girlfriend Kira.

Kira is also a trans woman. She is an Army veteran living in a small apartment just outside Omaha, NE. She was recently and wrongfully fired from her job (and you can probably guess why). This also made it to where she is unable to pick up another position at a similar company in a similar role due to a noncompete clause. This has made it extremely difficult to find a new job that she fits the requirements for, let alone one in which the company is doing well enough to be hiring in this economy and hire a trans woman on top of that. I have been helping her pay rent for the last month, but I can no longer afford to do so now that I am not in my old job either.

On top of these external stressors, she is also dealing with severe depression, PTSD from her abusive father and her time in service, a complete falling out between her and her family, and no local friends capable of helping her in any meaningful way. As it stands, I seem to be the only person that has any kind of means, time, and will to help her directly. So I will be going back into the lion's den to help her get through her daily needs and act as her point woman for her extraction process. She is near the point of being a danger to herself, so having me there will hopefully be what she needs to fuel some hope for her future. At least enough to get her real help once she is out of the states and into a stable environment.

Our plan before all of this went down was to date for a while and move in together as we got closer to each other. We have both fallen deeply in love with one another and due to these circumstances are pushing up our plans to have her move in asap. I live out of the country now, so she will need a ticket, her passport, assistance fixing and selling her car, and many other things to get her to that finish line of flying away from the US once and for all.

Hence, why I have built this GoFundMe. Kira needs our help. She is in desperate need of rent money, money for a ticket out of the US, to fix her car, and to get her incidentals together and out with her. This will cost much more than her car is worth so we need you to donate extra cash for us to get this done.

If you want to support a trans woman to keep her off the street during a Midwest winter, to get her out of the US so she can get the healthcare she deserves, and to reunite us to help us both live our best lives, please send whatever you can.
