Hi, my name is Maggie and I am fundraising to be able to pay for a necessary series of procedures to rid of serious dental infections underlying my gums.

As a veteran I was able to maintain what I thought it was healthy teeth. Not realizing that most of the time my teeth were just taking care enough to continue my mission as a Soldier. My teeth and gums are not what I consider the healthiest one reason why I was always maintaining my appointments and following dentist orders. While stationed in Fort Gordon, GA I was offered the opportunity to have dental work done in my entire mouth by the students of the military dental school. I took advantage of it. After a lengthy process the results were good enough for me to be able to eat, chew and smile, something that sadly I can not do today. After 23 years of proud service I retired always maintaining dental insurance with the highest coverage. Today I have three dental insurances but altogether only covered for approximately an eight percent if the necessary procedures. I have started the dental work by taking out seven of my teeth, painful and sad. I need to continue this process to have a better quality of life. Been able to chew with molars is my dream.
