Ana’s Medical Expenses

After 14 years of being a nurse and caring for her patients, Ana Dorado has found herself becoming the patient after a tumor was found in her left ear causing her to lose her hearing. Since the diagnosis of her tumor, 2 surgeries have been done to remove the tumor, and each time it has grown back larger than the previous time. With the loss of her hearing Ana has not been able to return to her job as a nurse for the safety of not only herself but the workplace. Since she is not working she has lost her insurance that was provided to her by her job. The doctors have recommended a new treatment for Ana which is radiation to stop the tumor from growing to her brain. They can not perform surgery again because it is too risky since the tumor has become tangled into her jugular nerve. If the surgery is done, there is a risk of harming the jugular vein resulting in Ana to be connected to a feeding tube the rest of her life. With no insurance or any income Ana will face numerous medical bills to get her treatment. Her family asks for any donations to help with the cost of her treatment and appreciate anything that can be given.
