Support Chris's Road to Recovery

On June 20, 2024, Chris was coming home on her normal backroad route she’s traveled for years when she was hit head on. She sustained many injuries and was life flighted to Peoria where she’s undergone 5 surgeries so far with at least 2 more in her near future.

Her survival and progress so far has been a miracle. We are thankful for Life360 because without that app, life-saving services would not have been notified in time. They also notified family. We are thankful for someone family calls her Angel, a man who arrived on scene and without his fast thinking and assistance, Chris might not have made it to the hospital. This Angel also answered her phone and gave us a glimmer of hope. We are thankful for the life-saving measures provided by Galesburg OSF ED and the life flight staff who brought her to Peoria OSF. There are not enough words to express our gratitude to the Peoria OSF staff. All the medical professionals who have helped Chris have been phenomenal. The surgeons put her back with “a stitch and a prayer” as one said. She’s got a long road ahead but she’s here.

We also appreciate all that family, friends, and community members have done for her so far. Many more prayers are needed for Chris in her long journey of future surgeries, healing, and rehabilitation.
