Skate Jam is a community-oriented benefit concert planned for October 16th, 2021, at the Athens Skate Park. The Skate Jam event organizers are working in direct partnership with the Sojourners Resiliency Center, a youth based center in Athens Ohio that offers a variety of programming (arts education/harm reduction/sustainability education/etc) to at risk youth in South-East Ohio who normally couldn't afford/access such programming.

The purpose of this benefit show will be to raise funds and awareness for the necessary repairs and maintenance needed on the Athens skatepark, and funds for the upcoming programming budget for the 2021-2022 schedule at the Resiliency Center. We will feature musicians from Athens as well as the greater Ohio region, local brews, local food trucks, skate oriented vendors local to Ohio, a kids costume contest, an "Athens" raffle prize featuring goods from a variety of Athens local businesses,  a skate contest, a demo from the Athens Ohio Roller Derby Team, the Hell Betties, and more!

Every little bit helps! If you can't make it to the event, or just wish to give the causes a little extra love, please consider donating! Donations will go through Sojourners, a certified nonprofit, so donations can be tax deductible. We look forward to gathering our community together to shred for a great cause!
