Help Kelly Fight HER2+ Breast Cancer
Our family is reaching out during an incredibly difficult and unexpected time. Kelly, our vibrant, loving, and full-of-life 31-year-old sister, was recently diagnosed with HER2+ HR- breast cancer — an aggressive form of breast cancer that has brought her world, and ours, to a sudden standstill.
This diagnosis came as a complete shock. In just a short amount of time, the cancer has taken a serious toll on her health and her ability to work. Instead of focusing on building a future with her fiancé and enjoying this exciting chapter of life, she is now facing an overwhelming schedule of treatments, appointments, and uncertainty.
As many know, cancer does not just affect the body — it affects every part of life. Despite insurance, the medical bills, treatment costs, medications, and future planning expenses continue to grow. The financial strain has placed a heavy burden on Kelly and her fiancé at a time when they were simply trying to start their lives together.
Kelly is currently undergoing an intense treatment plan that reflects the aggressive nature of her diagnosis. Kelly and her fiancé are currently traveling into Boston to ensure she receives care at one of the top rated Cancer Centers. She is receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy every 3 weeks for 18 weeks, followed by continued immunotherapy every 3 weeks for a full year. She is scheduled for major surgery in March. Depending on how the cancer responds to treatment and what is found during surgery, she may require 2–3 additional revision surgeries. Her doctors have also advised that radiation may be necessary, depending on the surgical results. Her surgeon suspects that more cancer may be present than what appears on imaging, and there is a possibility that additional treatment will be required depending on what is discovered in the surgical pathology report. This uncertainty brings not only emotional strain, but also a significant increase in medical expenses and future care planning.
We are asking for help — any amount, big or small — to allow Kelly to focus entirely on what matters most: her healing and her journey back to health. Every donation will go directly toward easing the financial weight during her treatment and giving her the space and support she needs to fight with strength and hope.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, sharing, donating, or simply sending love and encouragement. Your kindness means more than you know, and it brings our family one step closer to helping Kelly reclaim the life she deserves.
Thank you for supporting Kelly in this battle.
