On November 26, 2019, David Micka was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), and he needs our help.
 
Upon returning from a family vacation to Hawaii, David went to the doctor complaining of leg pain. They ran tests. From paradise to purgatory, David waited uneasily. Then he had the conversation we all dread. He received the news we all fear.
 
David is a selfless person. He does not say no to helping somebody move. He will always look after your pets when you are away. He loves his friends, his parents, his church, and his Nittany Lions. Across states and communities, David brings help and happiness to those around him.
 
Cancer is a relentless enemy. We all know the toll it takes on the minds and spirits of those it touches. David will fight, there is no doubt about that. But cancer hurts in other ways, and it can leave us feeling helpless and hopeless. This fundraiser will help lighten the overwhelming financial burden that this type of diagnosis carries. The money raised here will be used to maintain his everyday expenses as well as the medical expenses accrued throughout his treatment.
