Help Morocco Earthquake victims

We are heartbroken for Morocco.

This Friday's deadly 6.8 magnitude earthquake in the South West of Morocco provoked more destruction and devastation than any other event this country has experienced in the past century. Entire villages have been wiped out. Over 2800 bodies have been found so far, but the search is only a few days old…. People are grieving loved ones and struggling to find food, shelter, and medical care for thousands of injured survivors. They are still bracing for aftershocks.

Having lived and worked in the South of Morocco for years - we know first hand how generous and welcoming people are in these villages. Given the events in the past few days - most people are exhausted and feeling helpless.

Homes, schools, clinics and roads are destroyed. Survivors are in dire need of clean water, food, medicine, and shelter.

We are in direct contact with Mrs. Majhouba Edbouche, founder of several long-standing, reputable NGOs in the area; she has been asked by five affected villages to help in their recovery efforts via AHDDANE, an active NGO she founded and still oversees.

We got to know Ms Edbouche well since 2011, and have come to love, trust and appreciate her tremendously. She has helped thousands of vulnerable people in Southern Morocco during her lifetime. We are seeking donations which will be directly managed by Ms. Edbouche's association to provide shelter and equipment to vulnerable survivors in these five remove villages.

This initiative is expected to help at least 170 families.
