On April 17th at around 4pm, Ken Richard Ang Cruz passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.  The cause of his death is not sure, but believed to be a blood clot in the lungs.  I was told he didn't linger or suffer, he was surrounded by friends who tried their hardest to help him.

My name is Emily Rowley and I'm Ken's long time girlfriend and the mother of his child, Keena Marie Rowley Cruz.

Keena is three years old and was the light and love of Ken's life.  He was a stay at home dad for a year and a half, and often wished he didn't need to go back to work so he could spend all his time with his Big Little.  He was a devoted, loving, attentive father who many admired.  The outpouring of love and good will has been tremendous, and I don't fear for Keena knowing how wonderful her father was and how many people were touched by him.

I'm still in shock and haven't really sat down and clearly laid out a plan.  Any money raised would help was the funeral, memorial, and unexpected expenses.  Any left over would be put into an education fund for Keena's future.
