We are raising funds to install two permanent, dedicated cricket nets for our club, which will be used by both youth and adult teams. At present, we have just one roll-on net, which limits how effectively we can train. Having permanent nets will provide a safe, high-quality space for structured practice and player development.

With no fixed training facilities, our teams are currently restricted in when and how they can train. Our youth section has grown rapidly and now includes around 150 children, alongside a dedicated girls’ team. We are committed to providing all players with the best possible environment to enjoy and develop their cricket.

These new nets will allow us to run more engaging, varied and productive training sessions, helping players of all ages and abilities to build skills, confidence and team spirit.

2026 marks our club’s 130th anniversary — a proud milestone that highlights our long-standing role in village life. This project will be a key part of that celebration, representing a lasting investment in the future of the club. It will help us grow sustainably, raise the standard of cricket we offer, and secure the long-term future of the game in our village for generations to come.
