DENTAL help needed!
Donation protected
Hello, I’m Eaton and trying to raise money for Canadian dental care. I’m a senior, but I earn less than welfare rates, and while I did get approved for Canada Dental Plan, at 100% coverage, for our new benefit, BC dentists are charging about $3000 over what the plan pays just to get me into the cheapest and most basic dentures.
The medical pix are: top pic after massive heart attack 2012, during cardiac ablation surgery maybe 2014-15. Me recently without two font teeth and four back teeth. It’s really hard to eat, and it’s sucking my top lip on the left side inside.
I’m already losing my housing due to lack of funds (again), and am extremely disabled, heart problems 40 years, asthma, spondyloarthitis, etc, and I can’t handle even a penny of this expense. I just … can’t. I have another fundraiser to help get me into a car, so I’m not trapped in my place (I can’t even walk to transit), so if you think you’ve seen that GFM recently, you have. My needs are urgent.
I really had no idea when I started all the checkups and xrays and checkup again and advanced cleaning and extractions (this week) that I would wind up owing so much freaking money. I guess if I had it to do over again, I wouldn’t have started. However. I did start and this is where I am. Why CDP doesn’t cover the extra fees dentists charge for the low-income earners, I don’t understand, but this is where we are, using the lovely benefit that barely works.
Thank you so very much if you can help me roll with this. I do truly appreciate every penny, every shared post.
