Anyone who has known Tim York for more than a minute knows what a sweet and generous man he is. Tim retired this past fall from Lowes Home Improvement in Southport and has helped thousands of folks from Oak Island, St. James and Southport with their home exterior projects, as well as being the best neighbor anyone could hope for. Tim was just diagnosed with an aggressive blood cancer and now he needs our help. We want to help him and his wife Karen with his medical expenses as well as the installation of an exterior elevator for his home on pilings so he can continue to walk his dogs every day and ease his jaunts to the medical facility for his chemotherapy treatments. If you haven’t had the pleasure of knowing Tim, I am sorry you’ve been deprived of knowing someone so kind and ready to help anyone. Please be generous in their time of need.
