Honoring Key'Maan Stringer's Life

Key'Maan Stringer, voted by his high school peers as the APEX alum most likely to become famous, was larger than life. On October 29th, spending an afternoon with friends, expanding his horizons and exploring life as only he could, Key’Maan was struck by a powerful wave while fishing on the coast and taken unexpectedly and quickly from all of our lives. Brave souls on the scene tried to intervene and help him; even in this most terrible of moments, Key’Maan’s life was inspiring others to be their best.

Although Key'Maan worked as a model, his true passion was as an actor, a vocation he was pursuing at Humboldt State University. Navigating foster care in Los Angeles with his twin brother and twin soul KJ, Key’Maan found his way to the APEX high school community, determined to finish and expand his education. He is remembered fondly throughout the school.    

Quick with a hug and friendly smile, Key'Maan's affable nature led him to affect hundreds of people in all walks of life. The tragedy that has befallen Key’Maan, and all who knew him, is  incomprehensible.

To our overwhelming grief, Key’Maan has not be been found. The financial obligations during this difficult time are rapidly mounting and Key’Maan’s twin brother KJ, his closest friend and family, is determined to honor his brother and bring him, or at least his memory, home. We are asking that you assist in whatever way you can to celebrate Key’Maan and help his devastated brother during an unimaginable time.
