Kevin had his world turned upside down when he suffered from a stroke at work. This happened on March 2, 2015. Kevin is the sole owner and employee of his Internet business, EtouchLamps. He had to pick up a second job at Octa in order to pay for all of his bills. His wife, Diane, is unable to work due to Lupus, a cancer survivor, and has other medical conditions. The Shaw family has suffered many tragedies in their lives. They lost a daughter in 1988 and lost four dogs and everything they owned in a house fire in 2008.
Kevin does not have life insurance nor does he have disability insurance. He is the sole provider of income for the family. His medical bills are already piling up and insurance might not even pay for a feeding tube full-time. This is a life necessity for him at this point. He is unable to speak clearly and he is unable to do much. He does not even remember his family most of the time. Kevin is at Heartland Pathways on Browns ln. We do not know how much longer insurance will continue to pay for rehab.
My name is Morgan Shaw, I am their daughter. I am handling the bills as best I can because my mother needs all of the help she can get. Things are difficult right now so we have started this fund in order to help with some of the bills. We are trying to prevent them from going bankrupt and losing their house because of medical bills.
