My name is Kevin Hajda. In April 2022, my life took a dramatic detour when I sustained a T12 incomplete spinal cord injury after being crushed by a zero-turn mower. That unexpected moment sent me on a challenging yet deeply rewarding journey filled with growth, resilience, and countless blessings. The prayers, support, and laughs you've shared have truly kept my spirits strong and wheels rolling forward.

After giving the traditional workforce my best shot post-injury, I quickly realized my path was destined for something different. Losing my job and experiencing the endless maze of state benefits has been a humbling adventure, filled with lessons in patience and character-building (lots and lots of character-building). With medical bills, living expenses, and now a critical need to replace the transmission in my van, things have become even more challenging. But through it all, I'm holding onto faith, positivity, and a lot of humor.

I prefer to view this moment not as a setback but as my very own superhero origin story (minus the cape—wheelchairs and capes don’t mix). This is my chance to discover and embrace a new calling that truly aligns with my passion and purpose.

Your support allows me to pursue educational opportunities in business management, graphic design, and theology—which will directly benefit my ministry and the Sunday church services I lead for spinal cord injury survivors. More importantly, your generosity empowers me to focus fully on recovery, outreach, and giving back to the community that has lifted me up.

My Greater Purpose: My ultimate mission lies with Abled Acres—a social enterprise passionately dedicated to supporting spinal cord injury survivors through virtual and pop-up workshops nationwide (we’re aiming for international awesomeness someday!). Although this particular fundraiser is strictly for my personal needs, your support indirectly helps me grow into a stronger leader, a dedicated advocate, and occasionally, a comedian-on-wheels spreading hope and laughter wherever I roll.
