This is an update of my situation 6/17/2019:

In May of this year I fell in concrete steps outside of my apartment. I was taken to Rex Hospital after still not being to walk with my walker or even able to lift my leg. I was at Rex for three days and nothing was broken but said something was wrong and I was sent to Pruitt Rehabilitation hospital. I have been here a month now and can only stand for three minutes and am pretty much wheelchair bound only being able to transfer. Not sure when I am leaving here but we have to move when our lease expires on Thanksgiving day! We were looking for a 2 bedroom apartment or house to rent that is on the ground floor with no steps to get to the car. We will also need an electric Wheelchair and car carrier for it. We also have to move because the rent is no longer affordable and safety reasons. I know nothing is impossible for my God and it isn't by accident that we must move by Thanksgiving Day!! I am a grateful servant and serving a living God who has shown Himself faithful to me In many many ways. So I am asking for your help not only financially, but cover your prayers In all these things!! Please keep my wife In your prayers also, since the beginnings  of the year fell and broke her ankle in three places and needed surgery. It is still very painful for her and still using a walker. Thank you for everything you do especially your prayers! To God be the Glory In all things, amen!
In 2004 Kevin Malkin, a Cary NC resident, was diagnosed with Diabetes, which has had a significant impact on his health including the loss of his right leg, four silent heart attacks and triple bypass surgery in 2006. Since then he has not been able to work and has been in and out of various hospitals and rehab facilities for a total of 2.5 years due to infections and surgeries in his left leg. Even with insurance, he has accumulated extensive medical bills and is facing new medical procedures which will accrue on top of monthly medication costs and an already strained budget.

Currently, Kevin is essentially wheelchair-bound but can walk a few steps as needed with his prosthetic leg. He recently developed an infection in his left leg and doctors are recommending amputation which will make walking impossible. This will require him to move to a stair free  home and purchase an electric wheelchair.

For those who know our friend, Kevin Mackin, he is a strong Christian, an inspiration to others and has a positive attitude and high spirits. He has been married for going on 23years and has raised 2 children.

Kevin has run out of options and we are calling on the generosity of family, friends, neighbors and others to help.

These are the current and near term needs:
       · Pending eye surgeries in order to keep his sight
       · Electric wheelchair
       · Moving expenses
       · Monthly medication
       · Past medical expenses

Thank you for your prayers and consideration in this matter.
