Help Kevin Fight His Way Back

Kevin is Sandra’s 14-year-old son, a beloved little brother, friend, and soccer player who should be celebrating his birthday, going to school, laughing with friends, and doing what he loves most. Instead, Kevin spent his 14th birthday in a trauma center after a terrifying accident. While leaving a park with his parents after playing soccer, Kevin was struck directly by lightning. He collapsed immediately, and his heart stopped. Sandra and Kevin’s dad began CPR right away, and with the help of firefighters, his heart was restarted before he was rushed to the trauma center. Kevin remains critically ill and is not yet fully awake, but he is still here, and he is fighting.

The road ahead for Kevin will be long and difficult. He will need extensive medical care, rehabilitation, therapy, and ongoing support as he works toward recovery.
