Kevin's Brain Tumor/Cancer

Donation protected
My family has been put in a tight spot in the past few days. My 16-year old brother Kevin has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and he will be in the hospital for a very long time to recover. After seeing Kevin's distinct personality change right before our eyes over the past 6 months, none of us would have guessed that he would be diagnosed with a brain tumor. The changes in his demeanor led us to believe he was having problems with depression, and now we know that this is an entirely different problem at hand. Knowing that this is the problem puts me at ease because it is a manageable illness, but he is going to need TONS of LOVE and SUPPORT from all of his friends and members of our community to ensure he has a swift recovery. There are deeply embedded roots of the tumor in his brain that cannot be operated on. Because of this, he will be undergoing radiation therapy to get rid of the deeper roots of the tumor. He is going to be in the hospital for a long time, but we REFUSE to let him sink!!

To the members of our great community of Washington Township and beyond... my family is begging you and our Lord for a glimpse of light at the end of this tunnel. After my older brother sustained a traumatic brain injury back in 2007, we have been swarmed with hospital bills that are still being paid off. My parents have worked hard to make a good life for their five boys, much like any parent would, and in situations like this it is hard to not feel embarassed because we're asking for help. My mother will be taking care of Kevin for the duration of his recovery, not working as a result. So
we are turning to all of humanity to stand with us and help us through these times. Kevin is the sweetest, most innocent and loving boy that I have ever known and he has never done anything in his life to deserve what is happening to him right now. If you cannot donate, please keep my brother in your thoughts and prayers for the long road ahead of him. I am very hopeful that we'll have our Kevin back in due time. Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to read this message, and we will continue to stand together and get him everything he needs to survive this. Thank you all so very much.

With love from brothers Chris, Michael, Matt, Nathan, & my wonderful parents Susan and Mike.
