Hello, my name is Kathy Bell.  My husband and I have been married for 46 years.  We have two sons and have raised our grandson Joey since he was a toddler.  He's fifteen now and my other two sons are grown and on their own.
Two months ago, Kevin, my husband, began having difficulty with his vision and swallowing.  After the CAT scan and MRI, tragically, he was diagnosed with muliple brain tumors, including one on his brain stem.  The biopsy showed it was from a stage 4 metastasized malignant melanoma.  Despite receiving radiation and beginning immunology therapy, Kevin died at the doctor's office March 15th while waiting for another treatment.
Kevin was only 63 years old and had retired less than one year ago.  He had a small marine repair business, however, while it got us by, there is not enough social security  available to sustain my grandson and I.  I have been a stay at home Mom for most of my married life.  We have no relatives in this area. 
 We have a Van and another older car but neither of them are running. 
It would mean alot to my grandson if he could finish high school here in Oxnard. 
This fund will be used to pay for the funeral expenses, repair the cars and  extend our stay here.
