Kevin Walters: #BCAllOne

Bishop Canevin is a small, tight-knit community that ever so often turns into a family.  The feeling of family and the sense of belonging is one of the things to love about this small Catholic school.  

One of our Canevin family members, Kevin Walters, lost his 6- year battle cancer on November 6, 2020.  Kevin had been the Girls Volleyball Head Coach since 2007.  He took a team that was 1-18 in the season prior to his arrival and has since led the program to multiple Section Championships, a State Championship in 2015, and WPIAL titles in 2013, 2015, and 2017-2019.  Kevin mentored his players in a way that a coach should.  He was motivating and caring and pushed his players to be their best.  Several of his players have gone on to play at the college level or have become coaches themselves.  Anyone that knew Kevin, knows of his love for the game, the girls he coached, and his Canevin family.  

We all know that when facing such sadness as outsiders, we feel helpless in knowing that we can't fix the problem.  In order to help the family with these unexpected costs, we have set this up in Kevin’s name. 

Due to COVID restrictions, we are reaching out through this page to raise funds as spaghetti dinners and such are not possible at this time.
