Kevin 's Cancer Fund

Hi, I am Kevin Gallagher. As many of you know, I have been a well-known radio and TV broadcaster in southern Louisiana since 1985. Early in 2021, after having a large lump removed from my neck, I was diagnosed with cancer of the mouth and throat. Treatment would involve chemotherapy, plus over six weeks of nearly daily radiation treatments. These would render me unable to eat normally and unable to speak, due to the radiation wounds in my mouth. The attached photo is me ringing the bell at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, as I completed treatment. The thing in my hands is the mask used to secure my head for radiation. My weird facial expression is the closest thing to a smile I could muster in my condition. I am on the road to recovery now, but my is financial resources are limited at this time, and medical expenses are quickly mounting.
