Dear All,

Recently, our beloved employee Kevin, who has learning difficulties, fell victim to a scam when a knock on his door by an opportunist builder resulted in a £25,000 bill to carry out repairs to his roof.

Kevin lives with his elderly mother and brother who also has severe learning disabilities, and before consulting a second opinion, a contract was signed and works began.

A subsequent quote has since suggested that the job to re-felt the small flat roof should have cost no more than £8,000.

Armed with this information, we tackled the builders who eventually reduced their bill to £18,000, however, this is still a tall order for the family who have limited means of income, limited savings, and are very distressed about the situation.

We have set up this gofundme page in an attempt to provide support to Kevin and his family and whilst we understand that it is an extremely expensive time of year, any help you can give would mean more than words can express.
