Hi my name is Tola. I’m mother of Kevin a 20 year old young man with a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD and Learning disabilities.
When Kev was diagnosed with Autism at age 4, we were told he wouldn’t amount to much, might not learn to speak, work or be independent.
But scary as that report was we’ve always believed in Kev and focused on supporting him to be the best he can.
He has experienced and surpassed many challenges due to his disability from learning to speak at 10 to learning to make friends, develop his independence, use public transport, attend college and now navigating world of work as a young autistic adult.
Kev is a very driven, positive, kind hearted and enthusiastic young man who always brings his A game to whatever he’s doing but the reality is that getting a job for young people right now is extremely difficult and even more so for young people like Kevin. The opportunities are extremely limited.
Kev completed his catering and hospitality programme and internship in his college cafeteria this summer and now wishes to set up his very own mobile cafe with hopes of serving people, earning a living for himself and employing young autistic adults just like him in the future.
Please help make his dreams come true.
your donation can change his life ❤️
