Kevin (KP) Peterson Jr is my son. Yesterday he was murdered by the police in Vancouver, WA. Kevin was only 21 years old and leaves behind a 4 month old daughter. He was a happy young man with his whole life ahead of him and now he’s become another face of racial injustice.
We waited 12 hours in the cold before we were able to even identify him. Throughout the entire night the Vancouver Police had told us nothing. Today, unknown to us, Clark County Police held a press conference giving out more information to the public than they could give to us, his own family. I’m asking my community to come together and help as much as each person can. Whether it be sharing this post, donating for funeral costs, praying over us or even just saying his name when they want us to stay silent.
