Kevin Neufeld Memorial Fund (for Kai and Travis)

Our names are Grant Main, Rich Doey, Nick Toulmin, Blair Horn, and Pat Turner. We, with the support of numerous other friends and former teammates of Kevin, have started this GoFundMe initiative as a way to honour Kevin’s memory and to support his wife, Connie, and the family through this difficult time by helping with care for twins, Kai and Travis.
Kevin was a remarkable husband, father, son, brother and uncle to a very special family. Kai and Travis, who are now 24, live with a form of muscular dystrophy called Myotonic Dystrophy (MD) and with Autism — both conditions affect their physical, social and behavioural functioning. Kevin and Connie were a true partnership in providing limitless love and care for the boys, but after a courageous and stoic struggle with pancreatic cancer, Kevin is no longer there to help provide support.
The twins’ conditions require significant ongoing care and supervision, and the advancing nature of their MD means that their care requirements are mounting at a time when the family is increasingly challenged in meeting those requirements. This fund is being established in Kevin's memory to help Connie and the family with the cost of providing care for the twins.
Kevin led an inspirational life, one filled with enormous love and friendship, indelibly impacting the many lives he touched. He was a person of deep faith, principles, honesty, and integrity. He had a lightning quick wit and laughed easily and often. To have met Kevin, one would never have known of his extraordinary talents and his many amazing achievements in life.
