Kevin Needs A New Electric Wheelchair

Hi, my name is Laura and I am Kevin’s mom. Kevin was born with a Genetic Condition called Emery-Dreifuss, Muscular Dystrophy (EDMD).

EDMD causes Muscles to weaken over time, and affects his heart. At 27 years old, Kevin has now lost Full Ability to Walk.

Kevin has not been able to walk since 2019, and has been using a Power Wheelchair Inside and Outside of the house. Due to the progression of Emery -Dreifuss EDMD, Kevin requires a more accessible Power Wheelchair that fits his needs.

Kevin has been using a basic Jazzy Power Wheelchair, it has aloud him to have mobility day to day. The new chair has eye level lift, it’s all-terrain and will fit into his Handicap Accessible Van.

Kevin would be able to go anywhere, be seen at eye level, and No Where would be off limits to him! I can not imagine how he feels every day that he has lost the ability to walk. BUT , this chair will bring Life, Fun, and Memories to his Future.
