Kevin Murphy Channel Swimmer Medical Operation
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kathy Batts and I am the business partner and Lifetime friend of Kevin Murphy.
Back in April Kevin fell badly whilst feeding a swimmer. He slipped on Jellyfish which had been washed up on the beach, landed badly on his back and caused some damage to his spine.
Many of you know Kevin for his 50 years as a high achieving endurance swimmer. For the past 12 years he has helped countless other swimmers fulfil their dreams of swimming the English Channel and various other stretches of water.
Because of the fall, a nerve is trapped in his back and he can not walk or even sit to withstand the pain for more than a few minutes.
He has to have surgery on his back which will repair the damage, waiting for it on the NHS has already been nearly 3 months and is expected to be up to ONE YEAR before he can have it done.
Privately it can be done within the next 5 weeks but will cost up to £15000 (awaiting final figure).
PLEASE HELP KEVIN TO PAY FOR IT TO BE DONE PRIVATELY. Thank you.
