Remembering Kevin Minor

Kevin Patrick Minor ended his battle with cancer on New Year’s Day, 1/1/2023. He was 36 years old and leaves behind a precious one-year-old daughter, an adoring wife, and countless family and friends who loved him.

Kevin was diagnosed with a type of lung cancer called non-small cell adenocarcinoma in April 2019, just two months after marrying the love of his life, Meredith. No newlywed couple should have to endure cancer as their first marital fight, but fight they did. Kevin & Meredith handled the diagnosis, treatment, and countless procedures with remarkable bravery. While facing cancer head-on, they welcomed the most beautiful baby girl into the world, Mollie Jude Minor. Kevin was happiest with Mollie, doting on her, bragging about her, holding her… she had him completely wrapped around her perfectly squishy little finger. While his time with Mollie & Meredith was cut heartbreakingly short, we can only be consoled that a piece of Kevin lives on in sweet Mollie; and what a gift that is to this world.

Kevin was universally loved and adored. He was the best friend you could ask for and a nurturing father and husband. With that, so many have kindly asked how they can help:

Prayer to St. Jude for Eternal Life

You give me hope, St. Jude, in the face of loss and sorrow. I pray that you will guide all souls to the light of Christ. May the hope that you offer be a source of comfort to all those who grieve. For in that hope and through our faith, we experience God’s tender mercy and trust His promise of eternal life. Stay by my side, St. Jude, so that I may always rely on your care for me. Amen.
