Kevin McHugh Recovery Fund
Donation protected
I humbly enter this request to the world,
I am raising money for the recovery and care of a true friend. In life you rarely find someone you can call on no matter what and they come to your side to help in any manner that they can. Well in my life this individual has been Kevin and now he needs my help.
Kevin is a veteran of the U.S Navy, served as a police officer in Ohio, worked as a bail bondsman (recovery agent), and a vending machine technician. He is a kind loving individual that would help someone in need if he could, he believed in passing it forward.
He suffered a heart attack about five years ago and lost 60% function of his heart. He has been slowly declining in health to the point now where he needs a transplant at 50 years old. He is on the heart transplant list in Jackson Memorial Hospital Miami. After the surgery the transplant team requires 24 hour care and housing within two hours of the hospital. The 24 hour care that his mother and I will be providing, transporting him to and from follow up appointments, housing, and life long medication for maintenance after the transplant when released from the hospital. I am asking for help with funding the temporary housing needed in the Miami area and the lifelong medications he will need due to the transplant. The Social Security Disability income and medicare/medicaid ins simply is not enough to cover his expenses. Therefore we are asking for financial assistance from anyone who has the ability to help.
Every little bit helps
