Kevin Lepine aka DJ DUPE's Medical Relief Fund

Within the New England Music & Dance Scene, people know Kevin Lepine aka DJ Dupe. What most don't realize though, is the immense physical pain and financial struggles he's hidden and endured over the past 4 years due to Desmoid. A non-malignant tumor that he suffers from on his neck and shoulder.

My name is Kai Le and I've known Kevin for almost 25 years. I think everyone who has had the pleasure in knowing him knows what a good person he is. Always greeting those around him with a hug and a smile. The type of guy who would give not just the shirt off his back, but his pants, hat and shoes too.

As DJ Dupe, Kevin is a skilled artist who has provided years of joy and entertainment to all those who have heard him.

Last but certainly not least, Kevin is an extraordinarily loving and caring dad to his two children DJ and Audrey.

These are things about Kevin I think everyone knows. However, during this low point in my life, Kevin has welcomed me into his home and these past couple months as his roommate, I've been blessed to get a deeper understanding of who he really is.

Kevin is the kind of man who does everything for everyone else and asks for nothing in return. He's empathetic to the core and knows exactly how you feel and what to say or do to help alleviate your worries or concerns. He finds the best in people and helps them to shine.

Kevin is also the kind of man who's worked at the same company for 11 years, getting up early and working late into the night to feed his children. Never once complaining. At the same time, DJ'ing & teaching snowboarding to sustain a semblance of normalcy.

Unbeknownst to most however... is that Kevin is also a man in great pain every single day. Hidden it from the rest of the world so that he can be strong for others.

As many of you are already aware, for the past 4 years, Kevin has had to undergo multiple treatments including chemotherapy, cryoablation, radiation and surgery for a benign but highly invasive fibrous tumor that continues to return time after time on his neck & shoulder. The last time he underwent treatment ravaged his body.

The tumor has now returned.

This has created an incredible burden for Kevin in recent years as he continues to take care of his friends and family any way he can. His most recent arduous therapy has left him unable to DJ and teach snowboarding which was important supplemental income in lieu of the treatment.

For the record, Kevin has VEHMENTLY opposed to asking people for assistance. With the help of some of his close friends, we've been able to convince him that there are SO MANY friends and family that love, cherish and admire him and would WANT to assist in any way they can.

Kevin Lepine has touched the lives of so many. I believe we can all gather together and support Kevin the way he's always supported others and the community. EVERYONE knows someone who's life has been impacted by these types of medical diagnosis. Not everyone feels that they can help or do anything. Let's make this the ONE where we ALL can help. Thank you.
