Kevin Krooss

Hi, my name is Matt Fairbanks. My friends and I came together in an attempt to memorialize our friend Kevin. He lived in a cottage at Caumsett State park. He would always be hiking and biking the trails, swimming at the beach, giving historical tours, or feeding the wildlife that would come to his door. He loved this place.

Kevin was a staple in his community. He always was around to lend a hand, bring food to a sick friend, make a joke, tell a captivating story, bring a pie to a get-together, or just be a friend to lean on. His family is asking for photos of him to be sent to them at [email redacted] so they can make photo boards for the service on Saturday.

The Caumsett Foundation offers beautiful teak benches in the courtyard garden for $1,500. They will apply a nice bronze plaque commemorating him. I'm setting the goal for $1,600 for any extra costs, as he taught me to do. Also, we're trying to do a candlelight vigil and the place we're going might have a stipulation about open flames so we would buy some cheap electric candles with that extra money as well. Any money over that will be donated to the Caumsett Foundation.
