With deep sadness and loss, I am announcing the passing of my Son Kevin Gomez. He was found by the Kansas City Kansas Police Department approximately around 11:00am on May 16, 2026 unconscious in a wooded area and pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of his death is still currently unknown and under investigation. My son was only 17 years old.

Kevin Gomez was the youngest sibling out of 7. Kevin was the baby of the family. He leaves behind his mother, Margarita Felix, father, Juan Gomez, his four living brothers, Ismael, Jose, Giovanni, Ivan, and his sister Samantha. He was very unconditionally loved by all of us and will be very missed. Our family is completely devastated by his sudden passing and unfortunate circumstances.

Unfortunately my family is still recovering from my brother’s Alex Gomez sudden unexpected death and funeral expenses. He passed away on November 04, 2023. The sudden and tragic loss left an overwhelming financial burden on my family that we are still having to navigate after 3 years.

Therefore my family and I are reaching out to the community, family, & friends in the hopes of being able to raise enough money to give Kevin Gomez a beautiful and dignified funeral. Any contribution will assist us towards covering funeral service, burial if we can afford, and/or cremation costs, additionally memorial arrangements. My family and I will be very grateful, if by any chance you are not able to contribute financially, please keep my family in your hearts and prayers. Thank you.

I was contacted by a police detective investigating his death on May 16, 2026. I am hopeful my family and I will have more information to share by Wednesday regarding the circumstances of his untimely death. I will keep you guys updated.

My family and I still have the burden of going to funeral homes and comparing prices, but once I have an itemized receipt, I will do my diligent duty to share that receipt with you guys as well.
