Kevin & Elli: an ARE YOU FN KIDDING ME story…

Friends.. Portlands favorite Bostonian power couple is going through hard times, and it’s up to us to help make life suck less for them. (And you know things are bad when Kevin and Elli are actually willing to accept help.)

On February 23rd Kevin suffered an injury resulting in a severed tendon in his Dominant hand, requiring surgery (hopefully only one?!) and leaving him unable to work for up to 3 months. As you can imagine, being a drummer who drums with his hands, this is especially terrifying and potentially debilitating if he cannot recover as recommended by his medical team. BUT IT GETS WORSE!!

2 days after injuring his hand, and still awaiting surgery, Kevin slipped on some stairs, and, unable to catch himself, broke his foot. Which may also require surgery. Being a drummer who drums with his feet, you can imagine this is an extra ARE YOU KIDDING ME situation.

If you know Kevin and Elli you know they are incredible humans, vigilantly defensive of their community, and always going out of their way to look out for others.

If you know them more personally, you probably already know Kevin has been a caregiver of and partial financial support to his wife Elli, for the past 3 years, while she has been fighting to manage Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) , and unable to work full time, hell, even part time.

So, with months out of work, unknown medical bills, etc.. The only safety net they have is us, and any little bit we can spare would make a big difference helping them weather this bout of “ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME” undeserved bad luck. They’ve already been as positive as Bostonians can be before all this. Let’s wicked help em guys.
