Hi, my name is Lisa and I am the daughter of Kevin Barwick Snr who sadly passed on the 28th of December 2024.

I’m not good at writing these things, and I never expected that I’d need to do so, please excuse my rambling. My father became my friend by the end of his life, he was not the most easy person to get along with, but he loved his family and grandchildren very much. He unfortunately pushed so many away from him during his lifetime mostly due to stubbornness and an inability to let a grudge go but he mellowed in the final years. It is this which puts me in a position where there is no one to willingly help with funeral costs and my need to raise some funds this way.

My father had been unwell for a long time, stubbornly he refused to face it in his typical Kevin way until he very suddenly became extremely unwell, and ultimately died from an aspiration pneumonia. There was no time for him, or us to even gather and discuss funeral needs and expenses which has left me in a very difficult position.

My older brother has offered to pay 1/3 of the funeral costs, my other brother is financially unable so I’m hoping that through community support you can help me to gather the remaining funds necessary for a basic funeral for my father.

I’m not aiming for an expensive funeral, my father would hate for so much money to be used on such an event. But I really need some help to gather the funds for the simple funeral and have his poor body taken from the morgue.

Everybody deserves to finally find rest and I hope so much you can help me to give this to my father.
