UPDATE: WOW, just WOW!!! Thank you all so much for your generosity! I’m now talking with the city about what more we can do to honor Kevin’s memory. Maybe a second fix station elsewhere, or a whole new rest stop with fix station, bench and tree.
We are raising funds in memory of Kevin Bailey, avid cyclist, friend to many and ride leader of Bike Friendly Mid-Cities (BFMC). We plan to donate a bike fix station, and possibly more, along the multi-use paths in North Richland Hills (NRH) in memory of Kevin. As a BFMC leader Kevin has ridden all over NRH and could be seen often on the bike paths here. His passing has left a large hole in our hearts, BFMC and the larger cycling community.
In speaking with the city parks department, if we raise more than the cost of a fix station, it is possible we could create an entire rest stop with a fix station, benches and trees.
We appreciate you considering a donation to keep Kevin's memory alive along the bike paths of NRH and the greater D/FW veloweb.
