Kevin and Keri's Sudden Cancer Battle!

Hi, my name is Bernie Pound. What started out as an MRI for a pinched nerve and herniated disks quickly turned into a nightmare for Keri and Kevin Norman when the results came back cancer.

 

Kevin was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a very rare and aggressive form of cancer. In August he underwent surgery to remove his C6 vertebra, which was full of cancerous tumors. At the same time he has a metal cage and rod inserted where his C6 vertebra was and had his C5 - C7 vertebra fused together.

 

Five short weeks later Kevin began a very intense and aggressive form of chemo therapy. Every 3 weeks Kevin receives 5 consecutive days of chemo. During these 5 days he is admitted into Huntsman Cancer Institute. Once he is released he returns every other day for labs and needed infusions to help build up his platelets, white blood cells, and red blood cells. Soon, radiation treatments will begin in addition to the chemo treatments. Treatments are expected to last a year.

 

As you can imagine medical bills are starting to pile up and a long ways to go. We've put together this Go Fund Me page to help relieve the financial burdens the Norman's now face with Kevin's treatments and almost daily trips the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
