I am sharing this GoFundMe to help a very good family friend. Please take a minute to read her story. I understand a lot of us are going through a lot with COVID and other unexpected life events but any amount will help if you can. Thank you for considering.
"My name is Chloe and I am a 21-year-old caring for my dad Kevin Mcdonald and his glioblastoma brain cancer. He was diagnosed in the first few days of January this year. They were able to remove the 6cm brain tumor almost completely but it has now grown back at an even larger size. My dad has always been against chemo and radiation therapy but in his case, he had no other option. His life is on the line and we decided to do alternative natural therapy & treatments in Mexico as a potential to save his life.
My dad is the most hardworking, caring, man I know and he will do ANYTHING to help anyone before he helps himself. My dad is my rock and he’s all I have so please help me save him. The doctors in California gave us no hope and said he had only 6 months but he is now on month 8 and this treatment is our last hope. We have seen some positive changes but not enough, we are going to have to continue this therapy which is needed to help him get through this. He is in a severe critical condition and needs ALL the help he can get.
With reaching my goal we can pay off our medical debt & we can go back to a semi less stressful lifestyle without worrying about all other living expenses and most importantly I can prioritize my time with my dad. We have paid close to $60,000 over the past 8 months and are in a lot of debt but it is our only attempt to help save his life. I am beyond grateful for the support system I now have but the financial cost from unexpected medical expenses is way more stress than I can handle.
