Rest In Peace Matthew Siegelbaum
Donation protected
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Matthew Siegelbaum. Matt passed away at May 9th, at New York Presbyterian Hospital, comforted by his wife Stephenie at his side. Our hearts are all broken at the loss of a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, son-in-law and friend. While we are all devestated, the thought of Matt being free of his pain and suffering is some comfort. Matt fought cancer gallantly and with everything he had for 15 years. Everyone who had the pleasure to know Matt knows how much he enjoyed life, gave to others and most of all, treasured Stephenie and their boys; Zachary, Jacob and Maxwell. Matt also leaves behind siblings Amy and Steven as well as an extended family and so many friends who will forever miss and love him.
Matt openly acknowledged Stephenie as his rock through everything they have been through. Steph will need to continue this role as she makes final arrangements and cares for and raises their boys. A decade and a half of medical bills and the loss of Matt’s career have been financially devestating for their family. We are starting this Go-Fund-Me page so that anyone who wants to do something and is able can provide some assistance, perhaps in leu of funeral flowers
Matt spent his last few days surrounded by family and friends. He shared with us that he and Steph are so grateful for all the prayers, thoughts, meals and other help they have received through this long and difficult process. So, thank you all for what you have done already. It meant the world to Matt.
